About me

Hi! I’m Giulio, Senior Applied Research Scientist at HSBC. I have almost a decade experience in converting frontier research into business value across banking (HSBC), telecoms (BT) and regulation (Ofcom). I lead advanced-compute initiatives across HSBC’s Quantum and Advanced Computing team. My research record includes 10+ papers, 10+ patents, and the IEEE UK & Ireland award for best PhD thesis in information theory.

My Background

I received my PhD from the Information Processing and Communications Lab, Imperial College London, Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, under the supervision of Deniz Gündüz. I received my MSc and BSc in telecommunications engineering from Sapienza University of Rome.
